It is a very unique Harley, fun to drive and very fast for an 80 inch. The guy who rebuilt it put in a heavy duty cam and oversized pistons; we have all the paperwork. It was salvaged in 1998 for the frame and surviving parts, having been in a police accident. The motor has a "new" S&S case. The official name of the model is still FXRP. All new gauges, handlebars & lights, etc. -and we added a small windshield for weather and speed in some situations; all you need to do in case of these things is crouch down a little and let it fly.

Apparently the officer flipped his bike over a truck or something- we are not clear on the exact story, but we do know what a pleasure this Harley is, having owned it for seven (7) years now. We only put a little over 6,000 miles on it. The odometer was legally reset to 000 upon completion in 2001. It no longer resembles a police bike in any way.

It has always been garaged. We have a shop manual, a spare battery (long story), a cover, leather saddle bags and a trickle charger that are included.

The bike is ready to go with almost-new tires and a fresh battery (and the old one was ok). Don't confuse this Harley with a typical softail- it handles much more easily and is more comfortable too. These older FXR's are known for their triple-shock mounted motors and handling!
